New trains from Solapur, Miraj

Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan on Sunday flagged off three new trains on Miraj-Pandharpur route.
The new trains were introduced after the Miraj-Pandharpur-Kurduwadi-Barshi-Latur narrow gauge line (popularly known as Barshi light Railway) was converted into Broad Gauge.
These trains will provide direct connectivity between Kolhapur-Miraj region and Usmanabad-Latur region, via Pandharpur and Kurduwadi. They will connect Kolhapur and Solapur in the process.
