On August 17, Rheema Khan had moved court requesting that the proceedings initiated against her because she did not reply to the summons be quashed. “The court has rejected her application and now we will go ahead with the proceedings against her,” said an Enforcement Directorate (ED) official.

The ED alleged that Hasan Ali Khan and Kolkata-based businessman and co-accused Kashinath Tapuriah had laundered billions of dollars in foreign banks.
