Not much rain for city over next 2 days: Met

Over the next 48 hours, the city will receive a few spells of rain while Thane, Raigad and north Konkan are expected to receive heavy rainfall, officials from the weather bureau said. On Saturday, the city received an average rainfall of 15.5mm between 8am and 8pm.

At 14.3mm, Vikhroli received the maximum rainfall on Saturday.

"Monsoon will continue to be subdued over the next couple of days on account of a weak off-shore trough," said Sudevan, director, regional meteorological center, Mumbai.

The maximum temperature at Colaba was 31.9 degree Celsius and the minimum temperature was 27.3 degree Celsius. The maximum temperature in Santacruz was 31.4 degree Celsius while the minimum temperature was 27.7 degree Celsius.

The city will witness only one or two rain spells in the next 24 hours, weather officials said. The temperatures in the next 24 hours are expected to be at a maximum of 31 degree Celsius and 27 degree Celsius minimum.
