Plea seeking EC derecognition of MNS dismissed

The Delhi High Court on Monday dismissed a petition seeking a direction to the Election Commission to withdraw the recognition of MNS, the political party headed by Raj Thackeray, for its “anti-North Indian” tirades.

The Delhi High Court on Monday dismissed a petition seeking a direction to the Election Commission to withdraw the recognition of MNS, the political party headed by Raj Thackeray, for its “anti-North Indian” tirades.

A Division Bench of Chief Justice Dipak Misra and Justice Manmohan dismissed the petition on the ground that the petitioner failed to furnish supporting documents, including the copy of FIRs, registered by the Mumbai police against the MNS activists.
