Rave busted off expressway

Around 300 youth, including 60 girls, were rounded up by the police from a rave party organised in a hotel at Khalapur, off the Mumbai-Pune Expressway, on Sunday night.

Sources from the Khalapur police station told HT that many were from rich families based in Mumbai.

"We received a tip-off about the rave party at Hotel Mount View and during the raid, we found the group indulging in drugs. They were immediately rounded up," said IS Patil, senior inspector, Khalapur police station.

The police are yet to ascertain the type and quantity of drugs seized from the party.

Patil said around 50 boys and girls were sent for medical examination and the others would be sent later in smaller groups.
