Senior inspector UK Rathod, from Kherwadi police station said: “Ismail Patwari approached us on Sunday after he was attacked by three men with iron rods. Patwari, a resident of Bharat Nagar, was outside a photocopy store near Chetna College when three people attacked him. We have made one arrest in the case and are looking for the other two.”

A month ago, Patwari had filed an RTI application at BKC police station demanding details of complaints against the men who attacked him. However, since Ismail did not receive a reply, he was in the process of preparing an appeal when he was attacked again.

“These men from Bharatnagar are troubling residents. Therefore, I filed an RTI to find out the number of FIRs and complaints against them, because I wanted to appeal in the magistrate court for their extradition,” said Patwari.
