Four persons were arrested of Tuesday for allegedly murdering a 30-year-old man in Shivaji Nagar last week. One more accused is absconding.

The police said, the five accused, three of them are minors, allegedly killed Mohammad Ismail Ansari, as he refused to give them money to purchase drugs.

Ansari’s body was found in a drain at Shivaji Nagar’s dumping ground early Saturday.

Senior police inspector DS Jodgudri said, “They were under the influence of drugs. When Ansari refused to give them money, they pushed him on the ground because of which he suffered serious injuries on head.”

Ansari, who hails from Bihar, was working for an embroidery unit in the same area.
