A division bench of justice Ranjana Desai and justice Ranjit More said, “It is necessary to consider whether there should be separate body that can keep vigil on the Internet to find out whether it is being abused by scamsters.”
The court was hearing a PIL filed by Rajmani Shukla through advocate Vinod Chate about the alleged scam involving Singapore-based Speak Asia.
Public prosecutor Pandurang Pol said the EOW had registered an offence in the case and five persons had been arrested.
