“We will discuss about rainfall in the state in Wednesday’s Cabinet meeting and will then decide whether any measures need to be taken or not," Chavan told reporters on the sidelines of a function here. "The seed-sowing scenario was reviewed in the meeting with some ministers on Tuesday," he said.

Chavan said the state Law Commission on Tuesday submitted its three remaining reports to the government on the recent work done by them.

The commission’s chairman D N Chaudhary, who submitted the reports, presented the department’s 23rd report on the Motor Vehicle Act under Section 165 and 173 and suggested amendments to it, while in the 24th report the commission suggested amendments in the criminal case that falls under section 478, he added.

“For new laws to be passed, research has to be done and after completing the process we will take a decision," Chavan said. PTI
