A section of autorichshaw drivers in Navi Mumbai have threatened to go on strike on Tuesday over the fare reduction.

The Shiv Sena-led auto union, however, will not, be joining the strike. On Monday, auto drivers refused to accept the revised CNG fares and continued to charge as per petrol fares. Of the 8,250 autorickshaws in the city, 7,000 run on CNG.
