Currently, MEPL is acting as the vendor for collecting toll on behalf of the MSRDC and the current contract is being awarded for a limited period as Reliance Infrastructure is to take over toll collection by end-this year.

MEPL's ongoing contract, under which it is paying Rs 75-crore for toll collection rights for a year, is expiring soon and hence MSRDC floated the new tender, a spokesperson for MSRDC said.

MSRDC will be doing a technical evaluation of the bids first and if the bidders comply, financial aspects will be looked into, he said, adding that the process could take around 8-days.
