What Maria told Gafoor on 26/11

A conversation between police commissioner Hasan Gafoor and Maria is recorded at 12.56 am on November 27 last year. This first conversation is reproduced in Kamte’s book.
Gafoor asks Maria about Karkare and Kamte’s location, to which Maria replies: “Ashok is near SB (special branch) office (behind Cama Hospital) and Hemant was at CST railway station (a few minutes away from Cama Hospital.”
Gafoor then asks Maria if any of them are injured? To this Maria replies that there was “report of firing on East region vehicle but nobody is injured.”
On November 27, at 1 am, four minutes after the above conversation between Gafoor and Maria, they spoke again:
Maria: DB Marg. Chowpatty. Both of them (Ajmal and Ismail) are dead sir. DCP Detection I just reported sir. Both of them have been shot dead. And they were in the car. Came out from the Skoda car firing. Our people retaliated. Both of them have been shot dead.
Gafoor: Any problem at JW Marriot. Over.
Maria: Sir about firing (at) JW Marriot. Just a few minutes back sir. We have diverted staff there sir.
Gafoor: Proceed there immediately. Over.
At 1.04 am, Maria calling Gafoor
Gafoor: Any idea about the identity of the two? The person shot dead.
Maria: Sir, we are trying to work it out sir. There is no paper, which is found on the person. Still verification is being done.
As regard to JW Marriot the mobile (van), which reached there no such incident took place there.
