Wife kills husband with help of son, neighbour; trio held

A woman, her son and her neighbour were arrested for the murder of the woman’s husband in Dombivli on Saturday.

DCP Manoj Patil said the police found a body five days ago. The victim, Anil Bhoir’s wife, Shubhangi, 30, had filed a missing person’s complaint. The police identified the body after Anil’s brother, Sunil, 27, tipped them off about Shubhangi, her son and her neighbour, Ramraj Chouhan’s, 35, involvement. The police said they called the trio in for questioning during which they confessed to the crime.

“Shubhangi said she thought her husband was having an affair. She said Chouhan gave her a poisonous powder, which she mixed in her husband’s meal. After Anil died, she along with Chouhan and her son loaded the body in a tempo and threw it in a nearby lake.”
