After taking nearly a week to acknowledge his Nobel Prize win, singer/lyricist Bob Dylan has removed all mention of his ever winning the prestigious prize from his website.
Bob Dylan performs during on day 2 of The Hop Festival in 2012.
The acknowledgment itself was slight. Some even called it bad manners. Five days after being announced as the winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature, Dylan added a sentence mentioning it on his website. But now, even that simple sentence has been removed, The Guardian reports.
It was earlier reported that Nobel representatives have been trying to reach out to the legendary singer, who became somewhat of a recluse following a motorcycle accident in 1966, but to no avail.
Some fans have even speculated that Dylan has refused the award, but the Nobel Committee doesn’t accept refusals, continuing their list regardless, said the Guardian.
