Four woodwind players have been flown in from Budapest to join Ilaiyaraaja's orchestra. The recording was at Nysa Studio in Andheri.

“The requirements were such that I had to be in Mumbai for this recording,” the maestro informed. He added, “The producers flew the musicians I required in too or I would never have left my Chennai studio. Those who want me will come there.”

Ilaiyaraaja has been recording the music for Happi for the past one year. Vital portions were composed and recorded in Budapest. The last bits were done in Mumbai.
