You claim to be the first girl group in the country. Wasn’t Viva the first one?
Viva was a product of a reality TV show, but we three (siblings) have got together to make pop music. While those girls only sang, we will perform. We dance while on stage and that adds a lot to the performance. I’ve even attended dance school.

You’ve been a VJ-actor for some time now. How did the band come about?
My sisters Apiksha and Shibani, and I thought about it four years ago. And a year and a half ago we were on. As kids we used to dance and sing together, so we thought of bringing our talent together to form this group. Since we sing and dance, we want it to be like the Pussy Cat Dolls.

How’s the response been?
The industry people have been really supportive. We have been asked to perform at many events. We sing self-composed songs mostly, with a few covers thrown in. We’ve also written the lyrics for our first multi-genre album, Teenager.

Where all have your performed? Is Bollywood on the agenda?
We’ve been to Kuwait, Bangalore, Goa and Mumbai. We aren’t thinking about films right now. We just want our group to make music and perform extensively.
