Oscar winning music maestro AR Rahman has reportedly teamed up with Amy Tinkham, known for creating live musical concerts for singers Britney Spears and Mariah Carey, for a tour to salute Bollywood and Indian music. Called 'The Jai Ho Concert: The Journey Home World Tour’, the tour is slated to begin in June at the Nassau Coliseum in New York. It will feature music from the film and tracks he was working on with the late Michael Jackson before the King of Pop died last summer.

“The tour will blend new technologies with powerful dance arrangements and acrobatics. The concert will keep intact the heritage and traditions of India with a new modern presentation,” contactmusic.com quoted Rahman’s spokesperson as saying. “The show will feature a spectacular cast of musicians and dancers from across the globe.”

Produced by Deepak Gattani, the tour will travel to over 20 major arenas and cities around the world, including The Forum in Los Angeles and The Patriot Center in Washington.
