Shankar or Shaan - who will win Music Ka Maha Muqqabla?

Composer Shankar Mahadevan and singer Shaan will vie for the Music Ka Maha Muqqabla title tonight after 13 weeks of competition on the STAR Plus reality show.

Shankar is the captain of "Shankar's Rockstars" that has Rahul Vaidya, Sharib Sabri, Sanjeev Kumar and Neetii Muhan. They will be representing the theme of fire.

While Harshit Saxena, Anweshaa Dutta Gupta, Debojit Saha and Shadab Faridi, who are members of Shaan's team called Shaan's Strikers, will be symbolising water at the grand finale.

"Music Ka Maha Muqqabla" had Mika, Himesh Reshimyya, Mohit Chauhan and Shreya Ghoshal in the race earlier.

The show had its share of controversies. For instance, in one of the episodes of the semi-finals Shankar sang all the songs by himself because he was not confident about his team. He ultimately won the competition, understandably so. Is this fair?

The finale will be held at the BPCL Ground in Chembur in Mumbai and will be telecast live, starting 9 p.m.
