Class 8 student tricked into drinking phenyl

LUCKNOW: A Class 8 girl of a Vikas Nagar school was tricked into drinking phenyl by some students who had allegedly harassed her on previous occasions too. At the time of the incident, the girl’s mother was meeting the vice-principal of the school to lodge a formal complaint regarding constant harassment of her daughter. An FIR has been lodged in the case. However, the school’s principal said, “The girl was sitting in the visitors’ room where she consumed phenyl that she probably brought from her home. She never left her bag and water bottle anywhere even for a minute.”
