MUMBAI: A police complaint was filed at the Andheri police station in Mumbai against Bollywood actor Om Puri for allegedly “insulting” the Indian Army during a TV debate. Puri had backed Pakistani artistes working in the Indian show business during a debate about a ban on them from working in Indian projects. Puri had said, “Did we force them to join the army? My father was also in the army... We are proud of them (soldiers)... I am asking you: Do you want India and Pakistan to become Israel and Palestine?”
