NEW DELHI: The CBI has formally initiated a preliminary inquiry against six cricketers of Delhi District Cricket Association for fudging their birth records to play in the lower age group category. The agency, however, did not reveal the names of the cricketers. We have registered an inquiry on the basis of source information,” said an agency spokesperson. The inquiry is a precursor to a formal FIR in case the agency finds enough proof to proceed further.
