NEW DELHI: Decks have been cleared for Jawed Ashraf, the Indian Foreign Service officer, who served as a key official in the PMO of both Narendra Modi and Manmohan Singh, to be appointed as India’s envoy to Singapore. Ashraf, a 1991 batch IFS officer, is currently serving as joint secretary in-charge of special projects in the external affairs ministry.
