Pregnant woman rescued after 17 hours

PATNA: It took 17 hours and state disaster management’s intervention to rescue a pregnant woman, stranded at a flooded village in Bhojpur district, 75 km west of Patna, on Wednesday. Seema Devi, 22, was immediately rushed to the district hospital, where her delivery was scheduled later in the evening Bhojpur district magistrate (DM) Birendra Prasad Yadav confirmed the rescue evacuation at 7.50am on Wednesday.
