Two held for ‘Dawood links’
KOLKATA: The Special Task Force ( STF) of Kolkata Police on Thursday arrested two gangsters of Kerala from Howrah station with arms.
KOLKATA: The Special Task Force ( STF) of Kolkata Police on Thursday arrested two gangsters of Kerala from Howrah station with arms.
After preliminary interrogation, the police suspect that they have connection with the ‘D-Company’ in Dubai.
Abu Bakar Siddique and Shihabuddin, both from Kasaragod in Kerala, were loitering in Howrah station compound on Thursday evening. Acting on a tipoff, police from Anti-Rowdy Section (ARS) reached Howrah station.
Police nabbed them after a chase and recovered two fire arms from them.
They were speaking in Malayalam. After interrogating them, the police found they were gangsters operating out of Kerala.
Recently, they had feud with their rival gang and escaped from Kerala after police had started combing operation to nab them.
The STF along with the state IB after prolonged interrogation got in touch with Kerala Police, which confirmed their identity.
