MUMBAI : Mumbai police rescued almost 30 youngsters from a self-proclaimed godman, who confined them to a bungalow in Kandivali area, on Friday. The victims alleged that the spiritual ‘guru’ forced them to perform physically and mentally-torturous religious rituals. “One of the children managed to inform his kin about the exploitation who then informed the police,” said inspector Sunaina Nate.
