FC B10 will be representing BHEL Colony, Sector 17, at HT GIFA — the ultimate football league for Delhi-NCR — which has become a calendar event for football lovers and residents.

Their pre-qualifying match against FC Noida was cancelled because both the teams had less than the required number of players.

The team’s coach Divesh Singh has a clear plan for victory. He said that his players should realise the importance of their position and play in a coordinated manner.

“Football players in India have a mindset that the one who scores the goal is the most important player in the team. Hence, we notice that even defenders want to score goals. My players have to understand that each player has an equally important role to play and without a joint effort, victory is not possible,” Singh said.

Singh, a state-level football player and a student of BTech, believes that his team has the ability to make a comeback despite the cancelled match.

“My team has been practising almost every day for the last one year. Apart from HT GIFA, we have also participated in several local matches. I believe that we can make a serious impact in the tournament if we focus on our game and give it our all,” Singh said.

The team comprises Shourya Purohit, Akash Singh, Tanishq Kumar, Rishub Bisht, Zaid Khan, Aryan Rawat, Haider Ali, Vansh Singh and Bhavya Joshi.

Purohit said, “We are focusing on our passing skills as we believe that the team lags behind in this aspect. We have been playing football together for seven years, so the bonding between players is impeccable.”
