Indian gymnast Dipa Karmakar narrowly missed out on the bronze medal in women’s vault at the Rio Olympics on Sunday.
Indian gymnast Dipa Karmakar narrowly missed out on the bronze medal in women’s vault at the Rio Olympics on Sunday after scoring 15.066 in the final.
Dipa scored 14.866 in her first attempt when she went for a Tsukahara vault and then followed it up with a Produnova in her second attempt which fetched her 15.266 points.

Dipa Karmakar was the first ever female Indian gymnast to take part in the Olympics and Twitter was quick to applaud her on the brilliant performances she produced in the women’s vault final.
