MR Arjun-Shlok Ramchandran enter Vietnam Open semis
MR Arjun and Shlok Ramchandran have entered the men’s doubles semifinals at the $65,000 Vietnam Open Grand Prix.
Men’s doubles pair of MR Arjun and Shlok Ramchandran kept the Indian flag flying at the $65,000 Vietnam Open Grand Prix as Lakshya Sen and G. Ruthvika Shivani lost their respective quarterfinals in Ho Chi Minh City on Friday.

Fifth seeds Arjun and Shlok defeated Thai pair of Tinn Isriyanet and Kittisak Namdash 21-13, 18-21, 21-13 in 45 minutes to advance to the semi-finals at the Nguyen Du Indoor Stadium.

They will next take on third seeds from Chinese Taipei, Liao Min Chun and Tpesu Cheng Heng for a place in the finals.
Earlier in the day, Lakshya Sen’s good run came to an end as he lost to Kodai Naraoka. The Japanese defeated the Indian 21-17, 21-23, 21-10 in an hour and five minutes in the men’s singles quarter-final.

Indonesian third seed Dinar Dyah Ayustine then beat G. Ruthvika Shivani 18-21, 21-15, 21-8 in 55 minutes in the women’s singles quarter-finals.
