Racers covered close to 600 kilometers from Jaiselmer on the third day of the Desert Storm rally, here on Wednesday. Sunny Sidhu, Suresh Rana and Major AS Brar continued to dominate the top three positions in the Xtreme category. Sanjay Takale in the Xplore category also held on to his leading position.
Rallyists will put their driving skills to test, as the night leg of the event will take place in the Xtreme category. They will compete in Leg 7 — covering 60 kilometers on the sandy terrain. 23 cars out of the 45 competing in the Xtreme category have pulled out already, while in the Ndure category, only 11 cars remain out of the original cast of 21.
Bikers fare no better as only 11 competitors are left out of the 21.
