Bihar cabinet's first meet on cruise ship

After holding cabinet meetings in a village and at Shanti Stupa in Rajgir, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today held a cabinet meeting onboard a state-run steamer in river ganga for the first time on the occasion of the auspicious Makar Sankranti day.

After holding cabinet meetings in a village and at Shanti Stupa in Rajgir, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today held a cabinet meeting onboard a state-run steamer in river ganga for the first time on the occasion of the auspicious Makar Sankranti day.

Several ministers attended the meet presided over by the Chief Minister on board the Bihar State Tourism Development Corporation (BSTDC) cruise ship known as "Ganga Vihar" to promote ganga tourism in Bihar.

Senior officials including the Chief Secretary, Home secretary, besides Cabinet department's principal secretary Girish Shankar were also present.

The meeting lasted for around two hours, official sources said.

The choices of aromatic Basmati flattend rice, rich and creamy sweet curd, the crispiest of tilkut as also a variety of traditional Bihari cuisine were served on the occasion, they added.
