According to an affidavit filed by Azad, son of former Bihar chief minister Bhagwat Jha Azad, he had a bank balance of Rs 5,63,046 in 2004 which has now increased to Rs 21,86,318.
Azad, contesting the Darbhanga Lok Sabha seat for the third time, owns a vehicle worth Rs 10,95,405.
In 2004, he had a single case pending against him registered with Town police station. In his affidavit, he admitted that another case, also registered in the same police station, was also pending against him.
