A Class 1 student was kidnapped at gunpoint in the heart of the city while on his way to school today morning, police said.

The boy, whose father works for a private firm, is a student of Christ Church School. He was kidnapped near the Maurya hotel when three armed criminals overtook the autorickshaw he was going to school in and forced the driver to stop, a police official said.
