Acting on a complaint lodged by Debu Pandit, a resident of Badi under Mufassil police station, a Bureau team led by deputy superintendent of police, Munna Prasad, conducted a raid at the assistant’s official residence and arrested him while accepting bribe.

Additional Director General (vigilance) Anil Sinha said that the arrested assistant would be produced in the special vigilance court here on Wednesday after interrogation.

Seven public servants have already been booked on graft charges since January this year, he added.
