The mishap occurred near Sohsarai halt between Biharsharif and Bena stations around 9 am, Chief Public Relations Officer of East Central Railway AK Chandra told PTI.

The engine and ten bogies of the train derailed, officials said.

Chandra said since the train was moving at a very slow speed, there was no casualty.

Traffic on Bakhtiyarpur-Rajgir section has been paralysed due to the accident, he said.

Divisional Railway Manager of Danapur division BD Garg and railway engineers have left for the spot to supervise the repair of tracks.

The reason for the derailment is being investigated, officials said.
