An official on Wednesday said that Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar will meet alliance partners of his government on October 12 at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Delhi where he is currently undergoing treatment. On Wednesday, the chief executive officer of the Bhilai Steel Plant was removed, a day after at least 10 employees were killed and 14 others injured in the gas pipeline blast at the plant of the state-owned Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) in Durg district, Chhattisgarh. Union Minister of State for Steel Vishnudeo Sai has said that a four-member high-level committee was constituted by SAIL to probe the incident. (PTI)
