World Tourism Day is celebrated every year on September 27. It was first observed by the United Nations World Trade Organization (UNWTO), the global body responsible for the promotion of tourism, in 1980. On this day, tourism boards worldwide celebrate the occasion by launching attractive offers to promote tourism in their place.
