Traffic jam on Mumbai-Pune Expressway as trailer topples at Khandala

The Mumbai-Pune Expressway saw heavy traffic congestions after a trailer toppled near Khandala on Thursday morning.
According to the police, the trailer was coming towards Mumbai from Pune. All of a sudden, the driver lost its control and hit the railings along the road. The vehicle then went off the highway and toppled into a pit.
“We had to use a crane to pull the vehicle from the pit. That operation affected the traffic flow on the highway for nearly two hours. The situation was normal after 9 am,” said a police officer.
No one suffered any injuries in the accident.
