Woman jumps to death in Kothrud
The woman was identified as Jyotsna Vitthal Brahmankar (52) by the police.
A woman in her 50s allegedly jumped to death on Tuesday morning in Kothrud. The woman was identified as Jyotsna Vitthal Brahmankar (52) by the police. She jumped from the seventh floor of the apartment where she used to lived, according to the police.
The woman jumped around 7 am after which the residents informed the police. She was rushed to the Sassoon General Hospital but could not be saved.
The woman was suffering from a health condition for the past few years and could not deal with the condition and medication anymore, according to the suicide note that she left. The depression caused by the same was therefore mentioned as the reason for the suicide. The police could not ascertain the details of the family members of the woman till late in the evening. None of the woman’s family members were present when the incident happened. The police are trying to figure out the ailment and get in touch with her family.
