A 25-year-old man ended his life by hanging himself to death on a tree near Dhuri railway station on Monday night. The deceased has been identified as Krishan Singh, a resident of Patran.

Station house officer (SHO), Dhuri (city) police station, said, "According to the family members, Krishan had been tense for the past few days due a dispute with his wife, who belonged to Dhuri."

A few days ago, Krishan's wife came to her father's house at Dhuri. Last night, Krishan's body was found hanging with a tree near the Luxami garden, said the SHO.

He said that the body has been handed over to the family after the post-mortem. The police have registered a case under Section 174 of the CrPC.
