5 booked in abetment to suicide case in Patiala

Five people were booked in abetment to suicide case, police said. A 22-year-old youth committed suicide on Tuesday by consuming poison at his residence. The deceased left a suicide note naming the accused.

The deceased was identified as Narinder Kumar resident of Rorian Wala Mohalla, Rajpura. The accused were identified as Rimpi, Kush, Sarb Kamboj, Charanjit Singh and Ram Charan; all residents of Harpalpur village near Rajpura.

Father of the victim, in his complaint, alleged that the accused people drove his son to commit suicide, as they were forcing him to pay money. He also said the accused were giving death threats to Narinder.

A case was registered under Section 306 (abetment of suicide) and 34 (common intention) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at Rajpura city police station. The police said investigations were on and they were trying to locate the accused.
