Dangal actor Aparshakti Khurana says he always wanted to be an actor who can act well. The radio jockey-turned-actor was in the city to promote an event here, which was hosted by his wife. “It is always fun to come back to the place where you grew up. Nothing has changed here,” said Khurana.

Khurana came into the limelight after stepping into Bollywood with ‘Dangal’. Before the movie, he worked as a radio jockey and TV anchor. Currently, Aparshakti is shooting for Om Shanti Om, a music reality TV show.

Apart from acting and anchoring, he composes music as well. He has also composed radio jingles for various brands and has co-composed his brother Ayushmann Khurana’s song ‘Ik Vaari’.

“Creativity is in our family. It has come to me from my father and brother. My brother has definitely a role in my coming forward as an actor,” said Khurana.

Apart from ‘Dangal,’ Aparshakti has also acted in ‘Saat Uchakkey’ and ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania.’ He also acted next to Kajal Aggarwal in a short film called #KhoonMeinHai, which was directed by Kussh Shatrughan Sinha.

Speaking about his future plans, Khurana says, “I am working on a film that will begin shooting on October 4 in Amritsar. Later, the shoot will be done at some foreign location.” Khurana, however, did not disclose any further information regarding the film.
