BCom, BBA seats increased in PU colleges

Panjab University (PU) Syndicate on Sunday approved the increase in the number of seats in Bachelor of Commerce (B Com) and Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) courses in affiliated colleges.
The colleges have been asked to send their requisitions for seats before August 5 to the dean, College Development Council (CDC).
Controller of examinations Parvinder Singh said, “There will be a common schedule for these two courses and the provision of additional seats will be made in all the affiliated colleges. The schedule and further details will be released on August 1 for students.”
The Syndicate also approved the proposal for framing a manual for examiners in view of the leak of a paper of the law entrance test in 2014.
VVIP FACILITIES FOR EIGHT CHAIRS
The Syndicate approved VVIP facilities for eight chairs. The meeting decided to provide business class air fare, a car with a driver, accommodation in the hostel or in the university guest house, honorarium of Rs 5,000 per day to those invited to head the chairs. The Syndicate also approved the offer of Maharana Ranjit Singh Chair professorship to Lt General KJ Singh.
The Syndicate meeting issued a show-cause notice to one of the former Senate members Kuldeep Singh, who was no more a member of the Senate, but attended its meeting held on July 24.
