BJP flays Cong MLAs for 'manhandling' Mittal

Workers of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) staged a demonstration here on Thursday and burnt an effigy of Congressmen in protest against alleged manhandling of Punjab cabinet minister Madan Mohan Mittal by Congress MLAs in the state assembly complex.

Addressing the protesters, BJP district president Parvesh Goyal accused Congress MLAs of attacking a senior minister like Mittal. He said the legislators had shown their frustration over being out of power in the state, adding that stern action should be taken against the erring MLAs.

Municipal Council president Ram Singh and BJP Mandal president Ajay Rana also addressed the protesters.
