Burglars decamp with 110 gram gold, cash in Tarn Taran

Patti residents vented their anger against police administration, alleging that the police had failed to provide adequate security to the residents.

Burglars struck at a house in ward no 4 in Patti city, 23 km from Tarn Taran at Monday night, and decamped with around 110 gm of gold jewellery and cash.

Resident Sanjeev Kumar of Patti said, “My sister Rajni was admitted in a hospital and my brother-in-law was there to look after her. Burglars struck at their house on Monday night. On Tuesday morning, we saw the main gate of the house broken and 110 gm of gold jewellery missing, along with 95,000 cash and a mobile phone.”

Investigation officer, assistant sub-inspector (ASI) Santokh Singh said, “On the complaint of Sanjeev Kumar, a case of theft has been registered against unidentified burglars. Investigation is on and the culprits will be soon arrested.”

Meanwhile, residents of Patti vented their anger against police administration, alleging that the police had failed to provide adequate security to the residents. They said the graph of crime incidents; burglary, snatching, rubbery, murders were increasing by the day in the city.
