Bus hits bike killing one, villagers vent fury

Furious residents of Harigarh village set a bus on fire on the Barnala-Chandigarh national highway, after it had rammed into a motorcycle killing a woman on the spot. The bus was registered to Orbit Tranport.

Bike rider Gurlal Singh has escaped with injuries, while the pillion rider, his wife, Gurdeep Kaur was killed.

DSP City Harvinder Singh Virk said, "A case has been registered the bus driver and other unidentified persons who set the bus on fire."
