Dr Garg has also worked hard on new techniques of treatment---a soluble stent for patients suffering from heart blockages and renal denervation theray (RDN) for patients with uncontrolled blood pressure.

"A simple non-invasive procedure will cure patients from uncontrolled blood pressure. At present. we have to put such patients on multiple drugs for life. This therapy will potentially reduce number of pills a patient has to take and at the same time improve quality of life," he said adding that the non-invasive treatment of heart valve disease is especially beneficial for patients who are at high risk for surgery.

Dr Garg was recently awarded by John Gordon Harold, president of the American College of Cardiology at the 62nd convocation of the American College of Cardiology.
