Draft policy on fee regulation: ‘Audited expenditure of schools to form basis’

Education secretary Sarvjit Singh said after the UT administrator gave nod to the policy, no changes have been incorporated and now, they will await feedback from public. The education department will also be issuing notices in the newspapers on Monday or Tuesday to inform the public about the same.

Talking to HT, director school education Rubinderjit Singh Brar said the policy will be in the public domain for 30 days from the date of issue in the newspapers. “A nodal officer from the education department (Sunil Bedi, subject expert-commerce) is being deputed for feedback and anyone who wishes to come and personally give feedback is welcome to do so,” said Brar. Feedback can also be mailed on dpi-chd@nic.in.

Meanwhile, another notice undersigned by the DSE was uploaded on the education department website on Friday, directing parents that complaints regarding sale of stationary, books and uniform will be accepted only till May 20.
