Confirming the action, SSP said that after getting complaints of laxity against the policemen, he himself conducted surprise checking at various nakas and found all of them missing from their specified nakas, while some were sitting on the roadside during their duty hours.
He further said he would not tolerate any sort of laxity and would continue such raids to bring more efficiency among the policemen.
Three days back, SSP had suspended an SHO at the City police station Lakhwinder Singh, as he had “failed to control” the increasing incidents of snatching and loot in his area.
