Girl, 'married lover' found dead on track
A young man a girl were found dead on Tuesday on the tracks near the railway station of Dagru village in this district. The victims were Ranjit Singh, 20, a shopkeeper of Daulatpura village, and Paramjit Kaur, 17, of Chuharchak village who studied in a government school.

The victims were Ranjit Singh, 20, a shopkeeper of Daulatpura village, and Paramjit Kaur, 17, of Chuharchak village who studied in a government school. Primarily police investigation suggests they were lovers who committed suicide by throwing themselves under a train on Monday night.
Their parents recorded in their statements to the police that the two knew each other for the past five years. "Ranjit's father, Balwinder Singh, has said his son had a child from a three-year old marriage," said inspector Balwinder Singh of the railway police in Faridkot. "Ranjit and Paramjit Kaur were in a relationship and unwilling to separate, Ranjit's father has added."
The police recovered the bodies and after autopsy, handed these over to the families. Further investigation is on.
