Jaspal Bhatti's ashes immersed in Sutlej

The ashes of noted satirist Jaspal Bhatti, who had died in an accident near Shahkot in Jalandhar district on Thursday, were immersed in Sutlej at Patalpuri Sahib gurdwara in Kiratpur Sahib on Saturday.

The ashes of noted satirist Jaspal Bhatti, who had died in an accident near Shahkot in Jalandhar district on Thursday, were immersed in the Sutlej at Gurdwara Patalpuri Sahib in Kiratpur Sahib on Saturday.

Bhatti's family members and relatives, including his wife Savita Bhatti, son Jasraj Bhatti, daughter Rabia Bhatti, sister Sarabjit Kaur, father-in-law Manmohan Singh and brother-in-law Harnek Singh, brought the ashes to the gurdwara from Chandigarh and immersed them as per Sikh rituals after performing 'ardas'. They also paid obeisance at the gurdwara and listened to 'kirtan'.
